Please note: The payment information for your account is uploaded only once per month, when we bill.  The online system does not reflect any payments, adjustments or penalties applied to your account between billings. If you are paying "after the due date" please call our office at (765) 807-1100 for your current balance.

Please allow 2-3 business days for the payment to post to your account. Payments submitted after 12:00pm may not be processed until the next business day.

The City of Lafayette is not accepting credit or debit cards for online bill payment. In order to utilize this service, a checking or savings account is required. If you have your bank and water account information, you may pay your bill online now by clicking the link below.

Payment by Phone

The City of Lafayette allows citizens to pay their utilities by phone. The City of Lafayette is not accepting credit or debit cards for payment by phone. In order to utilize this service, a checking or savings account is required. Please follow the instructions provided:

    Automatic Withdrawal Bill Payment

    Automatic withdrawal is now offered to all of our customers. You can have your payment automatically made for you without writing a check, paying for postage, telephoning your bank or logging onto the Internet. Here is how it works: After signing up you will receive notification of the payment amount ten (10) days before the withdrawal date in the form of your billing statement. On the payment due date, your payment will be withdrawn from the specified checking or savings account. Your payment is made. No hassles and no late fees.

    To sign up for automatic withdrawal please print and complete the authorization form below. Return the completed form with the appropriate documentation to:

    Billing Information

    Water and wastewater are billed on a monthly basis. For customers with both Water and wastewater (City Sewer), a combined bill is produced. Most customers who have both city Water and wastewater are billed according to the usage registered on their water meter. Meters are read on a monthly basis, conditions permitting. These readings are collected by Customer Service Field Technicians who record this information into a hand-held meter reading device. This information is then transferred electronically into the computer at City Hall where the bills are prepared.

    VISA LogoThe City accepts VISA & MASTERCARD for utility billing accounts. Credit/debit cards may ONLY be used in person, with proper I.D., in our office.  We do not accept credit card payments online or over the telephone at this time.
