Welcome to the Lafayette Police Department's website. We have made many changes to the site with the goal of providing another avenue for communication with the citizens of Lafayette. A strong and healthy police-community relationship is absolutely essential to solving difficult problems within our community. Our website has been designed to provide responsiveness to the needs of our citizens and to strengthen our relationship with them. We take pride in our efforts to continually provide more information and resources to the community we serve.
This website answers questions, provides detailed information concerning crime prevention, is interactive for children, provides for the ability to make police reports on-line, and gives detailed information about the Lafayette Police Department. In our efforts to provide the best interactive product available we work with the guiding principle that the Lafayette Police Department exists for the citizens of Lafayette.
The relationship we foster with the Lafayette community is earned everyday, by every officer, and the Lafayette community deserves no less. A positive police-citizen partnership is one in which the police and the community collectively work together to enhance public safety and education for all citizens.
